Situated within spacious grounds, adjacent to The Castle and only a minute’s drive from the A68, our Touring and Motorhome site offers the ideal base from which you can visit County Durham, Northumberland and Cumbria, and is also the perfect location if you are looking to break up a long journey.
We aim to please and thrive on repeat custom, so you will be looked after regardless of your length of stay. Witton Castle Country Park as a whole has undergone a transformation in recent times and as part of this ongoing redevelopment we expect to be able to offer you a brand new, state-of-the-art Touring site in the next few years. For now, to make your stay even more enjoyable in 2012 we are restricting the number of touring caravans on Park to a maximum of 25 per night, which will mean that you will have more privacy and space than you would at perhaps any other site in the North East. Please note that we do not permit the use of tents at Witton Castle Country Park.
Our nightly rate is inclusive of electric hook up, water and television point access and we charge per tourer, not per person. There are no additional charges for pets, awnings etc, and we offer free WIFI in The Castle Bar. Your visit includes full use of shower and toilet facilities, nature trails and outdoor facilities (fishing is available at an extra cost).
Pitches are only available by pre-booking and with payment upon arrival. We regret that we cannot accommodate unarranged arrivals.
Although Witton Castle Country Park is open for a full 51 weeks a year to Static Caravan Holiday Home owners, the touring site is open from 1st April to 31st October.

We ask for a minimum deposit of 20% of the total cost of your visit, with the balance paid on arrival. Please note that deposits are not refundable on cancellations within 7 days of the arrival date.
Should you fall in love with Witton Castle while you’re here and want to make your stay more permanent, we are now pleased to be able to take your tourer or motorhome in part exchange against static Holiday Homes and Lodges. Just contact the office for details of how we can help.
